Before you take our word for it, look at the numbers.

Our math growth outperformed

of schools nationwide

In reading, our students grew faster than

of their academic peers nationwide

In science, our students out-grew

58%

of comparable students across the country.

These aren't projections. This is what happened last year, in this building, with girls who started exactly where your daughter is now.

Middle school is where girls either find their voice or learn to shrink it.

Research on adolescent girls is consistent: in mixed classrooms, girls raise their hands less, take fewer academic risks, and are more likely to defer to boys in group work — right at the age when confidence is being built or lost. KCGPA removes that dynamic entirely. Every leadership role, every raised hand, every "I'll go first" is a girl in this building, every day.

This isn't about isolating girls from the world. It's about giving them four years to build the confidence to walk into any room — mixed or not — and lead it.

Let's answer the questions you haven't asked yet.

"Is it actually free?" Yes. KCGPA is a Missouri public charter school. There is no tuition, no fees to apply, and no cost to attend. Public funding, public school, zero cost to your family.

"Is single-gender education going to feel strange for my daughter?" Most of our scholars tell us the opposite — that it's the first time they've stopped worrying about how they're perceived and started focusing on what they're capable of.

“It’s such a small school and such a community… I built a sisterhood.”

"What's the school day and location like?" KCGPA is located at 5000 E. 17th Street, Kansas City, MO 64127, serving grades 5-8. The school day runs from 8:00 am to 3:33 pm, Monday through Thursday, with an early dismissal at 1:30 pm on Fridays.
